Top 5 Maps and Navigation Apps in France Q2 2022

During the second quarter of 2022, the top 5 Maps and Navigation apps on a unified platform in France showcased varied performance metrics, as revealed by Sensor Tower data.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw a significant fluctuation in weekly downloads. Starting at around 76K downloads in early April, the app peaked at approximately 118K downloads in late May. Weekly active users steadily increased from around 5.1M in late March to about 6.0M by the end of June.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a relatively consistent download rate, hovering between 39K and 48K weekly downloads throughout the quarter. Active users also showed a steady upward trend, beginning at roughly 833K in late March and reaching close to 1M by the end of June.

Trainline: Train travel Europe experienced a gradual increase in weekly downloads, starting at around 31K in late March and climbing to approximately 41K by the end of June. Active users also followed a similar upward trend, increasing from about 190K to 213K during the same period.

Bonjour RATP showed a steady increase in weekly downloads, beginning at around 28K in late March and peaking at approximately 33K in late June. Weekly active users saw minor fluctuations but generally trended upward, starting at about 304K and ending the quarter at around 315K.

Finally, Mappy demonstrated a consistent growth in weekly downloads, starting at roughly 14K in late March and reaching around 27K by the end of June. Active users also increased from about 67K to approximately 87K during the same period.
